Every year this beach hosts a round of the World Windsurfing Championship and the weather condition is favorable, the sea will provide a wonderful spectacle of its strength and beauty. The Ponta Preta Beach is also known as the only beach on the island, where you can see golden sand dunes. The original sand Cape Verde is a volcanic (black), but the dunes have grown thanks to the constant wind Northeast that brings sahara desert sand.
